The quarterly
Watauga Sertoma Club/Friends of the Watauga Library Lecture
Series will be held Monday, June 11, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the
Watauga Public Library, 7109 Whitley Road.
As a Cold War soldier, Bill Ditman developed an abiding interest in
Russia and the Russian people.
A long held dream to travel to Russia was realized in May
1993 with an opportunity to join a business delegation to
Russia. In the
fifteen trips he has made to Russia, Bill has witnessed
extraordinary changes in the lives of ordinary Russians.
Bill will share his story of how he found treasured
friends among those he once considered dreaded enemies.
Bill is President of the Watauga Sertoma Club, and was
responsible for bringing Sertoma Club to our city.
The Watauga Sertoma Club and Friends of the Watauga
Library cosponsor the Lecture Series.
